lyrics
I drink trepidation's ichor, Your sour wine of ecstasy.
In my grasp is the immaculate nucleus, obscurity awaiting movement.
By very nature I advance, utter darkness emanates from thy crevice, devour!
It is the negation of God that acts as a catalyst for truth.
Perdition is an absolution time could never of foretold.
O Holy Fire, create in me a clean heart.
Congregatio de seraphicus et impia
Ad purgandum miser, turpis cor hominis
O Holy Fire, create in me a clean heart.
It is the negation of God that acts as a catalyst for truth.
Perdition is an absolution time could never of foretold.
A transfiguration of and through the unconscious mind, the touching of hypostases.
Fear sows the seeds of truth, nailed between radius and ulna, dripping wrists and hands of blood. As if I were dashed through verticality, wrist and ankles bound, for a death of sorts!

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
The Belgian band explore heavy psych, tribal rhythms, free-jazz freakouts, meditative drone and the vast, shadowy spaces in between. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 22, 2020

I got this slab of greatness when I purchased a cd from the label, just love how much care and attention that they put into the packaging, artwork! Morbid Evils, this is amazing!Crushingly heavy, atmospheric, relentless,I think the comparisons to Thou and Primitive Man are spot on! Thanks to Transcending Obscurity for this! Michael Carter
